Maria was a big production that took a lot of help to put on. We performed at the Wildcat Theater at Weber State. We had around 80 kids in the cast. We didn't want to do the classic "Sound of Music" that focuses on the later part of Maria Von Trapp's life. Rather, we wanted to stick as closely as we could to her story and we wanted to tell every part of her life. The show stared and ended at a devotional Maria gave at BYU. We found out during rehearsals that a cast member's grandma had attended that devotional. We were able to hear from her and hear her experience with listening to Maria Von Trapp. With an original score and a memorable cast we will always hold this show near to our hearts.
